This Peach Sorbet is a light, refreshing treat made with just three ingredients. Perfect for summer, this easy-to-make dessert delivers the sweet, juicy flavor of ripe peaches with a refreshing icy texture, making it the ideal alternative to heavier desserts.
4ripe peachespeeled, pitted, and chopped into small pieces (around 1 1/2 cups)
1/2cupsugaror adjust to taste
1tablespoonlemon juice
Instructions
Prepare the Peaches: Wash, peel, pit, and chop the peaches. Place the chopped peaches on a paper towel to absorb any excess moisture.
Blend the Peaches: Place the peaches in a blender or food processor along with sugar and lemon juice. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides if necessary.
Freeze the Peach Mixture: Pour the peach mixture into a shallow dish, spreading it evenly. Place the dish in the freezer for 2-3 hours, ensuring it firms up but doesn’t freeze solid.
Scrape and Serve: Once frozen, use a fork to scrape the mixture into a snow-like texture. Serve immediately, or return to the freezer for a firmer texture.
Notes
Use Fresh Peaches: For the best flavor, use ripe, fresh peaches. Canned peaches can be used in a pinch, but fresh will yield a better texture.
Freezing Tip: For smoother texture, blend longer or strain the peach puree to remove any skin or pulp.
Storing Leftovers: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week. Re-scrape before serving.
