- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 12 oz pasta e.g., fettuccine or egg noodles
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and allspice. Shape into 1-inch meatballs.
Brown meatballs in olive oil until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In the same skillet, melt butter, add flour, and cook until lightly browned.
Gradually whisk in beef broth, cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened.
Season with salt and pepper. Add meatballs back to skillet.
Combine pasta with sauce and meatballs. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
