Strawberry Santas
Strawberry Santas are a fun, festive dessert that’s quick to make and perfect for holiday cheer. This holiday dessert idea transforms strawberries into adorable Santa figures, delighting guests of all ages.
Ingredients
- 12 –15 large strawberries fresh and firm
- ½ cup 120g whipped cream cheese (regular or low-fat)
- ¼ cup 30g powdered sugar
- ½ tsp 2.5ml vanilla extract
- Red and black decorative icing for faces and details
- Optional: Mini chocolate chips or shredded coconut for decoration
Instructions
Prep Strawberries
- I rinse 12–15 strawberries under cool water and pat dry. I cut off the leafy stems to create a flat base, then slice each strawberry into three parts: a bottom, a middle (body), and a larger top (hat).
Make Cream Cheese Filling
- In a mixing bowl, I combine ½ cup whipped cream cheese, ¼ cup powdered sugar, and ½ tsp vanilla extract. I mix with a spatula until smooth and fluffy.
Assemble Santas
- On a serving platter, I place the strawberry bottoms. Using a piping bag (or Ziploc with a corner snipped), I pipe a small amount of cream cheese mixture onto each bottom for Santa’s face. I add the middle strawberry piece for the body, then pipe more cream cheese on top. I place the top piece as the hat and add a small dollop of cream cheese at the tip for a pom-pom. Using red and black icing, I draw eyes and a smile on the face.
Decorate (Optional)
- I sprinkle mini chocolate chips or shredded coconut for extra flair, like eyes or a snowy effect.
Serve
- I arrange the Santas on a festive platter and serve immediately.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh strawberries suitable for decorating.
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
- These treats should be consumed soon after assembly for best presentation.
