Ingredients

  • 2 chicken fillets about 1 lb/450g, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp 30ml olive oil
  • 2 tbsp 30ml fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp 8g chili powder
  • 1 tsp 3g garlic powder
  • 1 tsp 3g onion powder
  • 1 tsp 3g cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Make Marinade

  • In a medium bowl, I whisk 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp fresh lime juice, 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp each of garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.

Marinate Chicken

  • I add 2 chicken fillets to the marinade, coating them well using tongs. I let them marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).

Preheat Air Fryer

  • I preheat the air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for 5 minutes to ensure even cooking and a crispy exterior.

Cook Chicken

  • I place the marinated fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. I cook for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

Rest and Serve

  • I remove the fillets, let them rest for 5 minutes to lock in juices, then slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • Adjust spice levels to your preference.
  • Serve with lime wedges for extra flavor.
  • Can be paired with rice or salad.
